Supraventricular arrhythmias after major resection of primary lung cancer
Summary:
According to bibliography, patients who develop persistent or recurrent tachyarrhythmias have a higher mortality and more complications than those who maintain a normal sinus rhythm postoperatively.
In the present study, recent data on potential mechanisms and risk factors that are associated with the development of arrhythmias in postoperative patients have been researched. Also, consideration was given to the factors that predispose to the occurrence of atrial fibrillation or supraventricular tachycardia after major resection of primary lung cancer, as well as to the treatment methods applied.
