Summary:
The present thesis examines the impact of the economic crisis with reference to two specific examples: the introduction of the proportionate judicial fee to the procedure of interim measures prior to the signing of the public contract on one hand, and the possibility of the contracting parties to amend several terms of the contract due to the unforeseen change of circumstances incurred due to the economic crisis on the other. In this respect, the current thesis examines whether the economic crisis can be classified as an unforeseen change of events. The aforementioned issues are examined with reference to the Greek and the ECJ case law so as to determine whether they are compatible with the local constitutional law as well as the European Law.
