Summary:
The present thesis comments on two rulings issued by the Greek Council of State (Supreme Administrative Court of Greece), namely CoS 307/2014 and CoS (pl.) 100/2017, adjudicating on the constitutionality of a statute allowing commercial stores to operate on Sundays. The analysis aspires to show the methodological problems of the decisions, both in terms of the conception of human rights but also in terms of the conceived role of the judge.
