Evaluation of the forms of internal audit in greek public opinion and market research companies
Summary:
This thesis examines the equivalent characteristics of internal audit that are present in Greek research companies.
During the last decades, the importance of internal audit has grown significantly. As a result, there has arisen a need to be part of a company’s operations and its responsibilities are continuously increasing.
Most research companies do not include internal audit as part of their operations. The current research sector includes another way of conducting the business that replaces internal audit, and its characteristics present similarities with the internal audit procedures. There has been no previous scientific research regarding internal audit in the research sector, although it is rich when it comes to internal audit in marketing companies, that is called the marketing audit.
This thesis includes a survey that determines the equivalent characteristics of internal audit in research companies, and compares them to the characteristics of internal audit and the marketing audit. The survey concludes that research companies deal with most aspects if internal audit, but there is no subjective holistic view on the matter.
