Summary:
The present paper constitutes an effort of the analysis of the own resources system, a system which represents the incomes of the European budget and it has been introduced since the 21st of April of 1970 pursuant to the Council Decision (EU, Euratom) under No 70/243, replacing the founding system of the European budget which was based on the system of direct contributions from the member states.
This system was a milestone for the European Fiscal integration progress, while the evolution of the system through the years reflects the political and the financial developments of the European Union and its member states.
