The Impact of the General Data Protection Regulation in Public Administration
Summary:
This diploma thesis attempts to summarize the impact that the General Data Protection Regulation has brought to the field of Public Administration. In the first part, a brief reference is made to the provisions of the Regulation concerning the Public Administration, while studying the main ones, namely the right to be forgotten, the establishment of a supervisory authority, the mandatory appointment of a Data Protection Officer. In the second part, a case-by-case approach is attempted, focusing on those areas of the public administration which are more concerned with the processing of personal data.
