Summary:
This paper presents the spread of measles in Europe , particularly in Greece , as well as the vaccination coverage of the citizens. Initially, a general reference is made to vaccination and immunization. Then, going to the specific part of the work , the measles disease and the MMR vaccine are analyzed. It then describes the evolution of measles in Europe and Greece, and especially the epidemic that has been recorded over the past two years. Then reference is made to vulnerable groups and vaccination coverage in the country.Finally the anti-vaccination movement in Europe and Greece, its consequences and the measures to be taken to ensure public health are finally mentioned.
