Summary:
This thesis refers to the treatment of lung neoplastic lesions with the method of ablation RFA and MCW, > 2 and <5 cm in diameter. For the needs of the study at Sotiria Hospital 32 patients took part, aged 65 to 82 years. 20 of them were men and 12 women with a diagnosis of primary non-small cell lung cancer with single lesion 2-5 cm.
The results were: 25 patients with complete necrosis of the lesion 1 month after, 5 patients with necrosis and residual lesion that underwent to a 2nd thermoablation treatment session and finally 2 patients who relapsed at 6 months later underwent to a new thermoablation treatment session.
