This thesis aims to record and highlight changes at the daily newspapers of Athens in recent decades, where "tectonic" changes that have influenced the course of the Press have taken place in Greece.
Today's newspapers do not resemble the newspapers of the previous decades, especially the 1980s and 1990s. The variations are great both in design and content.
The technological evolution alters the presentation of news when it comes to the design of the newspapers, but the content is also influenced by it as well. We are going to attempt to record the changes that the Greek Press has been undergoing since 1981 until today, focusing mostly on the content as well as the layout from a design point of view, by examining five daily newspapers.
This research is going to focus primarily on the following aspects. A. The differentiations on the layout and the appearance of the first page, B. the type of news presented C. the framing pattern of news that the Greek Press has been using throughout the years.
