Summary:
The rapid entry of immigrants and refugees lead to the formation of our multicultural
society. Greek education is now confronted with the new reality by redesigning
textbooks, teaching methods and curricula and aims to integrate all students into
education system. Regarding to the religious education which is very sensitive,
because of the religious diversity and cultural heterogeneity, it’s obvious that must be
changed. The intercultural dimension of religious textbooks in conjunction to the
teacher is the key to the course success under the principles of respect, equality and
acceptance of diversity. The presentation of the intercultural image through the
illustrations and literary texts of the book, constitute the main orientation of the thesis.
