Summary:
This study investigates important legal terms, in alphabetical order, which deal with issues covering the whole spectrum of family law, such as marriage, divorce, dowry, adoption and adrogatio (εἰσποίησις), as they are found in papyri of the roman and byzantine eras.
It also investigates the typical structure of legal documents of the eras, their consistency as well as their repeated vocabulary.
Lastly, the study investigates the permanence of these terms in contemporary family law and their validity with the same or different meanings.
