Summary:
The evolution of the European asylum system, from the creation of the CEAS until today. An analysis of the key issues raised around the common asylum system and how the Member States and European institutions have responded to the "refugee crisis". Study of the CJUE decisions calling them to handle, on one hand the growing challenges of balancing the application of the Dublin III Regulation through the principle of mutual trust and, on the other hand, of safeguarding the rights of asylum seekers as guaranteed by the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union.
