Summary:
Osteoporosis is becoming a constant and serious problem of a large proportion of our country's population. Unfortunately, in the difficult times of the economic crisis that we are experiencing, this problem intensifies and becomes dramatic and evolves into an epidemic. The aim of this diploma thesis is to familiarize the reader with the causes and methods of treating this disease in these years through a research that addresses and highlights the difficulties of osteoporotic patients in finding their medication and the impact of these difficulties on overall treatment of the disease. An integral part of the specific project is the questionnaire on which the views of the osteoporotic patients about the disease were captured. Finally, from the results of this project we can find useful conclusions about the course of osteoporosis disease in our country and about the effectiveness of its existing therapies in the years of the economic crisis through a series of recent data.
