According to the official website of the European Commission, the term of “Roma” refers to various groups, such as Roma, Gypsies, Manu, Askali, Sidi and is mainly used in EU documents and discussions.

The following bibliographic study examines the issue of the Roma’s social, as well as the efforts that have been made for their social and educational integration into the Greek society.

The purpose of this study is to highlight the effectiveness of the policies and of the social-educational taken measures for the Roma’s integration, implemented by the EU and applied to Greece from the resent past to the present years. The study is mainly oriented towards the Roma’s educational integration.

The results of the bibliographic review show that despite the efforts made by the Greek society in the latest years, the problems concerning the education of the Roma people, but also their treatment from the society in general, have remained intense
