The advent of technology in recent years offers the opportunity to discover breast cancer at a subclinical stage, mainly using mammography and ultrasound in screening asymptomatic women (screening method).
The addition of magnetic resonance imaging to the diagnostic "quartz" in recent years, with an ever-evolving dynamic, is an additional advantage in the detection of early breast cancer.
The need for a single global description of the mammographic findings has led to their categorization according to the risk of malignancy. This is how a kind of descriptive mammography review dictionary - the Breast Imaging Reporting And Data System (BIRADS) - was created by the American College of Radiology.
