Neopaganism, Magic, Woman and Feminism in 20th century England and America
Summary:
This paper attempts to tell the story of magic and neopaganism in England and America in the 20th century, while emphasising on the various feminist instances of the phenomenon. Beginning with 19th century Romanticism and following the re-invention of magic and paganism from the beginning of the 20th century to the present, the paper tries to show how certain traditions, practices and theories imagined women and their relationship with the patriarchal status quo.
