The implementation of ICT as a scientific tool for the development of innovation and creativity from the aspect of Counseling: The case of Microsoft Teams.
Summary:
This study explores the contribution of the online communication platform Microsoft Teams as a means of developing creativity, innovation, and counseling to primary school students. The aim is to develop the creativity of primary school students, within the context of a system of cooperation support with the use of ICT and the investigation of any differences by class and gender. Students of 4th and 6th grade participated in the research with 21 and 19 students respectively and its conduct was divided into five phases. Project intervention was implemented through the Microsoft Teams application using the tools provided by Office365. To evaluate children's creativity, the creative thinking evaluation test of M. Wallach and N. Kogan, weighted for students of this age, was administered before and after the intervention. The results showed that 4th-grade girls and boys in 6th-grade had higher creativity.
A comparison of the two classes showed that 6th-grade students had higher creativity, but there was no statistically significant difference in the sex of their children's' sample and their creativity. Future research is proposed, by increasing the number of survey participants while covering a larger age range.
