Summary:
The present thesis is strongly associated with the title of “Diagnosis of Bone Diseases in Embryonic Stage”, and it consists of an introduction and seven chapters.

The ultimate progress of ultrasound, invasive prenatal methods and molecular biology methods have provided us with the opportunity to conduct diagnostic controls in the fetus since its early developmental stages. Consequently, nowadays, we can easily discern and realize genetic or even developmental causes aiming to reveal a variety of serious illnesses of the fetus in the myoskeletal system and not only, during pregnancy or even before implantation. The main emerging issue, in the framework of genetic counseling, is whether we should conduct a voluntary abortion or whether we should reject fetus in vitro, a posing question which is considered to be a multidimensional issue, an issue which is determined by the subjective notion- position being assimilated by every single person consciously or unconsciously in terms of respect and protection of human life, and always in the framework of a well- adapted and well- assimilated conscious- unconscious society.
