Summary:
In the present work , the European Uniion is studied in the light of the Repubblican approach .The work is bibliographic and consists of the introduction and five chapters in which psesented and analyzed ,in the first chapter Republicanism in Athens and Rome , the newest Republican theory and the modern neo-republican theory .The second chapter presents the neo-republican approach ,the principles of goverance and the attitude towards sovereingnty and liberty .The third chapter analyzes the European state in terms of what it is and what is the prevailing constitution.The forth chapter analyzes the republican union ,the path to a European municipality and the unity indiversity .In teh fifth chapter the conclusions are presented and the bibliography follows .
