Summary:
Τhe present thesis discusses the educational experiences of three Roma women in university and, specifically, how their gender identity and the position they have in their Roma communities has affected their admission and their studentship in university. It is a quality research of a narrative type. The methological tool that was used is semi-structural interviews. The research was based on the liberal feminism theory of various political philosophers.
The results of the survey proved that, even though Roma women faced various obstacles because of their gender identity and their community’s mores and customs, they managed to successfully graduate from university.
