Summary:
In the present thesis Traditional Medicine and healing centers of the Antiquity (Asclepieia) are analyzed as well as geographical and historical background of Ancient Corinth. A detailed description of the in situ archaeological findings follows. Finally, proposals for the enhancement of the Asclepieion and the surrounding area are presented aiming at the integrated management of the site in connection with the remaining Ancient Corinth.
