Summary:
Based on the current educational reality, the present thesis explores the relationship between leadership styles adopted by Primary Education principals and Primary Education teachers’ job satisfaction.
The scope of the study is to highlight the leadership style(s) preferred by school principals, based on Primary Education teachers’ opinions, to determine the factors that influence the adoption of the preferred leadership style and to investigate the relationship between the leadership styles adopted by school principals in Primary Education and the level of teachers’ job satisfaction.
The subjects of the study comprise 123 Primary Education teachers, working in primary schools of the First Directorate of Primary Education of Athens. The findings suggest that Primary Education school principals’ leadership styles and Primary Education teachers’ job satisfaction are correlated.
