Summary:
Our thesis entitled "Oil in the Middle East and the USA" is a
bibliographic study, on the introductory concepts and interpretations of oil, as well as
deals with the oil fields of the Middle East (Iraq,
Iran, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Kuwait) and the USA (Alaska, Texas,
California). Thus, we approach the path of oil, mostly crude, from
stage of its formation, its entrapment, pumping, processing, transport and in the
end its use, initially giving information about its historical dimension and
chemical composition of the various predominant species thereof. In the process, we identify and analyze the main oil fields in the countries we mentioned, while at the same time pointing out the economic - social benefits, but also the negative effects that are inevitably created in the wider context of politics and ecology.
The choice of areas mentioned was not random, as the Middle East and the USA, even today remain two of the largest and most important areas of
oil extraction, making them interesting for study. For this reason, these states are in a constantly tense political situation, with wars and conflicts not often missing from the scene of economic and territorial claims.
The main purpose and main concern during the study and writing, was the complete and modern recording of deposits, their reserves, as well as the geological processes of the Middle East and the USA, which contributed to the creation of today's oil fields.
