In this thesis, is presented the analysis of the existing modern international literature related to the issues of electrical power in terms of the way in which it is provided to consumers. In particular, the current state of electricity supply networks, the ways in which it is measured, the trends of the modern era in relation to the supply, measurement and management of electricity and the communication protocols used for communication through the network will be presented.
