Summary:
In this paper we analyse the linguistic phenomenon of epistemic modality as it´s expressed in the Julio Cortazar´s short story, ¨The Pursuer¨. In concrete, we present all the verbs, the adverbs, the adjectives and the nouns appearing in the corpus as epistemic modality´s indicators, in order to classify, analyse and, compare them.
