Summary:
This paper in the first part , aims to highlight the laws concerning the proper management and protection of water (surface and underground). In addition to protection, special reference is made to the utility of protection zones whether they relate to an individual Water Drilling Project, a spring, a hydrographic network that feeds an aquifer, or an entire watershed, in the Balkan Peninsula, in Italy, etc. In addition to the design of protection zones, reference is made to all the measures which called by local communities, regional authorities to take, in order to ensure the quality of the the water system. The second part of the paper concerns specifically, the protection of springs in the area of Skala in the prefecture of Laconia through the design of protection zones, based on the calculation of vulnerability in the wider area near the springs.
