Translated title:
Freinet Pedagogy and differentiated instruction for refugee children
Summary:
Célestin Freinet's pedagogical system opened new paths in pedagogical science, focusing on the child, its interests and needs and emphasizing the creation of a School of the People. This thesis tries to point out the potentials and tools that Freinet’s method is offering to culturally heterogeneous classrooms and specifically to the education of refugee children. Moreover, associating Freinet’s pedagogy with the differentiated education, the thesis aims to highlight the features of the differentiated teaching that render it effective for the refugee education. Through the extensive literature review of the subject, it is perceived that Freinet pedagogy and differentiated education can offer useful tools and perspectives to contemporary school, especially when refugee children study there.
