Summary:

Part of 20th century’s classical repertoire, Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G major, becomes an opportunity to examine some of the main elements, which shape an interpretation of this piece. Ιmportant guides in this process, were the views of the first interpreter of the piece, Marguerite Long and that of the pianist Vlado Perlemuter , who studied with the composer his whole pianistic work. In addition , a comparison between two recordings of the concerto is included, along with the views of five modern pianists and conductors on its interpretation.
