The Coronavirus Pandemic and the Greek Press. The representations of the Greek press towards the initiatives of the government during the period when the first lockdown took place in Greece
Summary:
The media reproduces representations of the world around us having their own criteria and focuses on issues of public interest. One issue that has occupied and continues to occupy the media is the disease that broke out on December 31, 2019 and which was named Covid-19. Covid-19, which crossed the Greek border on February 26, 2020, has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization.

The aim of this dissertation is to analyze the way the Greek press managed this disease during the period of the first lockdown, from 10-03-2020 to 08-05-2020. More specifically, the present diplomacy aspires to highlight the way the pandemic was presented by the press during this period, with particular emphasis on how to cover the government's initiatives to reduce Covid-19 and consequently to deal with it.
