The Serious Games <> And <> As An Educational Tool For a Football Agent
Summary:
The purpose of the present study was to examine whether serious games and more specifically the serious games "Football Manager" and "Top11" can be used as training tools and affect the work of a football players’ agent (players’ manager).
For the implementation of the present research, a thorough bibliographic review was conducted, in scientific articles and related books, on the one hand with the aspects that compose the work of an athletes’ manager and on the other hand with the analysis and description of the serious games "Football Manager" and "Top11". The data collection tool was based on a research protocol recording data related to the duties and role of a football players’ manager.
The results showed that "Football Manager" satisfies 27 out of the 30 skills of the protocol (90,00%), while "TOP 11" satisfies 21 out of the 30 skills of the protocol (70,00%). Therefore, it could be concluded that these two specific serious games can be used for training purposes for those who want to deal with the professional football athletes’ agency.
