Kurdish reign as a geopolitical factor for changing the existing situation (status quo) in the geographical complex of the Middle East
Summary:
The diplomatic essay examined the historical path and dimensions of the Kurdish issue and the analysis of the policy of countries with vital interests in the geographical complex area, i.e. in the Middle East of countries directly affected by a potential Kurdish state, which has been the geopolitical factor that will change the current situation in the region. The subsystems which form a subset of the System, i.e. the main geographical complex to be examined, were examined by the System Geopolitical Analysis (SGA) method. In particular, the essay refers to the Turkish-Iraqi-Syrian-Iranian subsystem (i.e. the countries where Kurds live in large numbers), the Iran-Iraq subsystem (because of Iranian influences on the government structures of Iraq, which has the effect of having corresponding influences on the Kurdish population of northern Iraq with all that entails in the creation of a Kurdish state, and the Iraqi subsystems Turkey-Iraq and Turkey-Syria (due to Turkish intervention in northern Iraq and along and down the Turkish-Syrian border on Syrian territory. Supersystems containing the sub-total of the main system under consideration have been defined as the United States, Russia and France that have interests in the region. The influence of the geopolitical factor on the above-mentioned subsystems on the economic pillar, which was set as a research pillar with the relevant geopolitical indicators (e.g. energy dependence, available natural resources). Using the SGA method, the essay was led to safe conclusions, with interdisciplinary competence, defining the Geopolitical Model of Power Redistribution. This is where the Geopolitical Analysis was completed, followed by the Geostrategic Synthesis, which was clearly dependent on the author's point of view, who proposed solutions to the issues which they were tested.
