Summary:
This postgraduate work is an attempt to explore the issue of "femininity", it attempts to research and present data concerning women and their femininity, as it emerges through the musical process and the musical space-time of Greek song, in each historical , social and political context.
A theoretical and musicological research that focuses on the female sign by examining those areas that can reveal to us characteristic elements of the role and position of women and what is considered female depending on the historical, social and cultural context. Explores the various stylistic and aesthetic fields of each era with which both music and femininity are associated.
The main pillars of the work are three performances of a song, by three women performers, each belonging to a different and distant chronologically and stylistically era. Through the specific musical performances of these three different singers we distinguish the style of music but also the style of the time.
