School bullying and personality factors
Summary:
This paper deals with the issue of school bullying and human personality. Initially, the
scope, causes and different manifestations of school bullying are highlighted. Then,
there is the profile and individual characteristics of the perpetrators, victims and
observers. Significant risk factors, neuropsychological correlations as well as
transgender and developmental differences regarding the manifestation of aggression
are also reported. In addition, the significant effects of bullying on the individual, the
school, the family and society are studied, emphasizing the "circle" of victimperpetrator. The characteristics of school bullying with recipients of charismatic
students and students with special educational needs as well as the serious effects on
them are also presented. At the same time, the concept of personality is defined and
its decisive role in the development and manifestation of an intimidating and
aggressive behavior is emphasized. Particularly helpful are the theoretical models of
the three Eysenck factors, the Big Five Model, the Rogers Person-centered Theory, the
Dark Trinity, and the Central Self-Assessment Mechanism (CSE). Among other things,
ways to prevent and intervene are suggested. Finally, a critical assessment is made and
conclusions are drawn from the literature review.
