Summary:
The aim of this thesis is to present the main theoretical issues of cultural studies in science education, as they emerged through the journal “Cultural studies in science education” from the year 2006 until 2020.
At first the cultural studies are presented as a wider scientific field and then a special reference iw made to the cultural studies of science education as a domain that “comes as a breeze” to the strictly bounded domain of science education. Then follows an analysis of the most important issues that have been discussed in the journal through this years and at the end the main reasons why cultural studies of science education are most contemporary than ever are presented.
