Translated title:
Study of the vocal characteristics in various musical idioms through acoustic analysis with the tools of the ASMA platform
Summary:
The voice is the instrument with the greatest possibilities of adaptation and flexibility in different types of music. The present work studies the phonetic mechanisms of the human body in combination with the quality functions of the voice while investigating the particular phonetic characteristics of musical idioms. The research is carried out in the context of a sampling carried out in the LabMat studio of the Department of Music Studies. Nine singers were invited to record their voices while the samples were processed in the ASMA program. The ASMA program has a number of personalized tools that have been used to analyze and classify samples. This study concludes with the presentation of the results and the comparison between them that leads us to some clear conclusions regarding the vocal classification of quality characteristics.
