Stress and infertility
Summary:
Stress is the body's reaction to any change that requires adjustment or response. The body responds to these changes with physical, mental and emotional responses. Stress is a normal part of life. Stress, which goes on without relief, can lead to a condition called discomfort - a negative stress response. Discomfort can upset the internal balance or balance of the body, leading to physical symptoms such as headaches, stomach upsets, high blood pressure, chest pain, sexual dysfunction and sleep problems. Positive stress is
considered to be an important factor in motivating, adapting and reacting to the environment. However, high levels of stress can lead to biological, psychological and social problems and even serious harm to humans. Women with infertility report increased levels of anxiety and depression, so it is clear that infertility causes stress. What is less clear, however, is whether or not stress causes infertility. The present study aims to gather various dimensions of bases, theoretical and systematic bibliographic review of stress studies. This review includes knowledge of stress in areas such as the definition,
concepts, history, patterns and effects of stress on human daily life and what is the correlation with infertility.
