Summary:
The aim of this study is to highlight the amateurish theatrical activity in the North Aegean, from 1974 to 2019, as well as its impact on the social and cultural life of these islands. The fields of research are the islands of Lemnos, Lesvos, Chios, Samos and Ikaria, as well as the adult groups with permanent and stable theatrical activity. On these islands, amateur theatrical activity was a driving force for education, social fermentations, political influences, cultural contribution and, above all, socialization.
