Dramaturgical and Performance Analysis of Texts by Alexandra K* - In Conversation with an Original Dramaturgy
Summary:
The subject of this thesis is the study of four plays by Alexandra K* and two performances based on her texts. The aim of the work is to carry out as thorough research as possible on the dramaturgy of their texts, implementing an original method of classifying their individual constituent elements.
The first chapter includes the categorization of the works in terms of Structure - Language - Style with an extension of Motifs - Symbols and Dramatic Space and Time, as well as Themes based on Dramatic figures.
In the second chapter, a performative analysis of two works is formed based on the above method and the sections of the questionnaire regarding the semiotics of the performance according to Pavis. Thus, an investigation is made of whether the dramaturgical analysis of the texts interpretively meets the stage act.
Finally, an epilogue is attempted, answering to what extent conclusions can be drawn and new questions posed.
