The purpose of this paper is to highlight the problem of plastics and pollution in general, in the sea. Through the Story Maps web application of ESRI's ArcGIS platform, an attempt is made to visualize the emergence of this problem. By using maps, photos and videos, it facilitates the flow of the narrative, highlighting the main points of the problem. Story maps help to better understand the impact of plastics on nature, as well as to raise awareness among citizens.
