Summary:
In this paper, reference is initially made to the reasons that led me to choose to deal with this subject and in particular with the film Barbe bleue (Bluebeard) by Georges Melies, as well as the way in which the research questions came about, and the methodology used. Then, I thoroughly analyze mediations and audiovisual installations that gave rise to and inspired the specific research attempt followed by an extensive description of the original silent film and the evolutionary course it followed from a fairy tale to its leap onto the big screen. After a complete picture of the theoretical framework surrounding this work has been provided, it will be followed by a detailed analysis of the installation I created and presented (Bluebeard: 12 hours in the room of Bluebeard) and an evaluation of the impact it had on those who attended it, through the relevant questionnaires filled in by the viewers.
