Implementation of Android application for measuring horsepower on the engine crank

The purpose of this dissertation is the implementation of a patented formula for calcu-lating horsepower. On to conventional wheeled vehicles through an application designed for devices with accelerometer and Android operating system. First there is a brief presentation of the formula as well as the conditions in which it works. I will present an analysis of the technologies and the architectural design of the application that were applied. In addition, physical factors will be presented which made the implementation of the formula in Android systems particularly difficult. Then an experimental study of the application and the formula in real world conditions will be presented in order to evaluate their effectiveness. Finally, I list in force improvements that can be made and extensions of the application.
