This thesis describes the microplastics that have become such a fundamental part of
our modern society, as well as the study of microplastics in two important marine
species, Sparus Aurata and Dicentrarchus labrax.The second part of the work focused on the study of fish tissues for dangerous
concentrations of heavy metals (mercury).
