Summary:
According to experimental data from recent experiments, decays of B mesons exhibit indications of deviations from the Standard Model of particle physics. These deviations are due to the possible violation of Lepton Flavor Universality, a pillar of the Standard Model. Therefore, the research of decays of B mesons is very important to determine the limits of the Standard Model. The following study focuses in the kinematics of the decay modes; B^0(d bbar) -> μμΚ^0(ππ) / μμΚ^{0*}(Κπ) and B^0(d bbar) -> J/ψ(μμ)Κ^0(ππ) / J/ψ(μμ)Κ^{0*}(Κπ) , while we create a simulation that creates the kinematical characteristics of the particles that participate in them. Finally, we compute the acceptance of the above decay modes using kinematical cuts, which correspond to the CMS detector at CERN.
