Summary:
Nowadays, technology has entered all classrooms and it is used by teachers and students all around the world. Many programs and tools are useful for learning foreign languages. Especially for kids with dyslexia, technology can be very efficient, so they can learn new words, improve their writing skills and their pronunciation. Podcasts are slowly becoming a part of the teaching process, because they can motivate kids to participate and learn easily without feeling marginalized by others. This paper analyses the use of podcasts in teaching English as a foreign language and the impact of adding this tool in classrooms, as a way to improve students’ skills. Teachers are trying to introduce new opportunities for strengthening their motivation, concentration and comprehension and the podcast seems to be very promising. In academic research, the chosen method is the qualitative, based on a classroom observation and an interview with an English language teacher. After analyzing the data achieved from participants, it is shown that podcast can perfectly support the traditional educational process and help students improve their learning skills. However, it is important to clarify the learning objectives and processes that podcasts are suitable for.
