Summary:
The present study entitled « Prevention and early intervention of child abuse at school: the words of teachers and members of the Interdisciplinary Support Committee». The research carried out is based on qualitative methodology, utilizes the semi-structured interview and thematic data analysis, attempting to highlight the discourse and experience of teachers, school social workers and school psychologists in this regard. The sample consisted of 11 professionals (social workers, psychologists, teachers) who work in the field of education in the light of the interdisciplinary team. From the analysis of the interviews, the opinions of the professionals were presented regarding the signs of abuse, actions and suggestions for prevention as well as ways of intervening in incidents of abuse in the school environment. The experience of the professionals from their collaboration with the interdisciplinary team as well as the difficulties they faced in their supportive and educational work were also highlighted. Finally, the experience of the pandemic and distance education was discussed, noting their effect on the prevention and intervention of the phenomenon.
