Summary:
Ιn this thesis, carbon and the introduction of three-dimensional visualization in secondary education is studied. Regarding carbon, general information is presented, its importance, and its various applications. Reference is made to carbon compounds and related instruction in secondary education, specifically in the second and third year of high school. In addition, a research tool is created, specifically a questionnaire about 3D visualization and the carbon. The aim of the questionnaire is to understand whether the introduction of 3D visualization in secondary education can improve the quality of chemistry teaching and make the learning experience more interesting and challenging. Finally, it was found that the three-dimensional visualizations are quite helpful during distance education and especially in the time of the pandemic.
