Summary:
The aim of the following diploma thesis is to write a detailed research on the role played by the use of technology in migration management. More specifically, an analytical approach is made to the functions of artificial intelligence, a "high-risk" technology as a European migration policy, for migration management.
In order to achieve a research objective, the dissertation begins with theoretical research on the parties affected. The research process begins with the theoretical approach of the terms "artificial intelligence" and "migration" and ends with the "ethical" dimension of artificial intelligence. The aim is for the reader to obtain the basic knowledge in order to understand, for what purpose and in what ways modern technological possibilities can be used in migration.
Then in the second part the methodological research is carried out in which answers are given to the research questions and sub-questions that have been asked. Through literature research and qualitative research, it is recorded how artificial intelligence is used, for what purposes and finally the risks arising from its use are recorded.
In the last part, the discussion of the results is depicted, from which conclusions are drawn on migration management in the European Union using artificial intelligence, as well as the presentation of the human-centered approach to the use of high-risk artificial intelligence systems.
