DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION AND DIGITALIZATION OF SERVICES

The rapid technological development has without any doubt greatly improved the daily life of people in all areas. In essence, it has changed the ways in which we act, travel as well as the methods by which we communicate. One of the main changes of this form is the fact that it has radically changed the way we work.
This specific development is also directly related to the digitization of modern companies and organizations. In modern times, the largest percentage of companies refer to digitization and most of them emphasize that they apply it as often as they can as it offers decisive benefits. Digitization of this kind concerns the conversion of all data from analog to digital.
Probably the most typical example is developing an electronic version of a book from its print version. The main reason why digitization plays such a decisive role in the modern era is the fact that it makes many actions and practices more direct, smoother and often even more efficient. This phenomenon is also found in all modern companies, although some have not yet fully understood it.
In recent years, mainly due to the pandemic, there has been a significant focus on the digital world. Despite this, however, this focus found many citizens, especially at the national level, unprepared. For example, our country is one of the states that, until the beginning of the 2020 period, showed a decisive lag in several and different digital performance indicators, such as, for example, internet accessibility, the use of online services, etc., with the consequence, among other things, of the development gap and inequalities both between our country and the rest of the EU member states.
