The fairy tale element in the greek shadow theatre. The integration and the pedagogical use of the fairy tale's heroes in the greek shadow theatre Karagiozis.
Summary:
The present work in its first part attempts to study the fairy tale as it is in our popular tradition and also its origin and morphology. At the same time, it examines the origin and dramaturgy of karagiozis. The roots of both, fairy tale and karagiozis, are common and can be found in our popular culture. Special mention is made of our intangible cultural heritage of which both the folk tale and the shadow theatre are a part.
In the second half, their common element as well as their differences are highlighted. Works of the shadow theatre are analyzed as are folk tales with a common component. The relationship between the hero of the fairy tale and the hero of the shadow theatre is identified.
In the process, an effort is made to reflect on the following: to what extent such fairy tale is integrated in the shadow theatre and have a place in the educational procedure today and can be used pedagogically.
