Italian reflections in the works of Vassilis Vassilikos Glafkos Thrasakis, The terrible month of August and The Monarch

With this essay I attempt to trace the Italian influences in the works of Vassilis Vassilikos Vasilikos, Glafkos Thrassakis, The terrible month of August and The Monarch. Italy for Vassilikos is an enforced place of residence, a place of exile, but it becomes a place of inspiration and depiction of the political situation of the time, as well as the social institutions of the neighboring country. During his stay in Italy, whose exact duration is unknown becomes the occasion for the writing of many of his works, among which are the works selected for study, produced during the period 1970-1979 Vassilikos lived in Rome for about fifteen years, exploring it experientially and capturing it on paper with his particular language and his penetrating vision.
